Barton Creek Resort's FAZIO FOOTHILLS In the Elite of all Texas Golf Courses

Award winning Fazio Foothills and the ultimate hazard. Fazio Foothills at Barton Creek Resort & Spa ranks at the very top of America's best. Golfweek rated the Foothills #4 of America's 50 Best Resort Courses. Boasting six of Texas' most beautiful holes. That's the good news. I've played this course one time. Would like to play every other week but that's impossible. You have to be a member or guest to play. And staying at this resort can get real sportin' even on a solid golf budget. Best course I've played. I love it. Can't afford it, end of story. Scenery at Barton Creek Resort's Fazio Foothills is the best these eyes have seen… ONCE! There's almost a movie set feel to the course. A Spielberg quality. A little overwhelming to a gal accustomed to the links of Teravista, Falconhead and Roy Kizer. Barton Creek Fazio Foothills presented my game with less challenges than what the awesome scenery suggests. Fair, challenging, but not difficult. Once you get over the fact that you're on a golf course and not heaven, you can see the opportunities the natural terrain offers, a real shooter. Long game, short game, driver wedge or iron -- you will adore this Austin golf course. Easily the very elite of all Texas golf courses. Five tee stations. Par 72 – 7,125 yard course. 18 holes of dramatic variety. Big, easy to reach greens makes this a short game pigeon shoot. I wish I could tell you more about the Foothills but I was in a state of golf grace the entire time I played. I don't remember anything but the scenery, absolute intelligence of design and the great low score. Here's my recommendation. If you can afford a steady diet of one of Americas best courses, cut back and donate some dough to the Austin Humane Society. They save lovable and sweet puppies and kittens from being destroyed and help to get them into good homes. Every golfer must golf Fazio Foothills. It's a right of golf passage. Worth the money. Play it two times, maybe three times. I prefer Crenshaw Cliffside more (Barton Creek Fazio Foothills sister course). You can golf Crenshaw without the heart palpitations or getting a bad case of the vapors. WOW! You've got to play this course. If they would let me play for a $80 daily green and cart fee, I'd cash in RD's baseball card and comic book collections. Swear I would…
