Candlewood Suites is, and always will be, a limited amenities budget extended stay hotel. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.
The rooms at Candlewood Suites are not spartan,
but they are not the Ritz either. Clean and comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, high-speed Internet access and free local calls round out room amenities. A small fitness center, business services, complimentary computer and printer in lobby, and an on-site convenience store. Bed could be more comfortable, hotel could have better access, overall location is good. I've been informed by a few folks that rooms at this property can be had for as little as $85 with a 30 day advance discount rate. Check it out and let me know what you think. A good friend stayed here for three days. I picked her up, dropped her off and hung out in her room and explored the hotel. I did not see any glaring shortcomings. But I don't expect much from budget suite hotels. If this hotel was a vehicle, it would be a Volkswagen bus. If that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you.
Nice outdoor area to kick back and do a little grilling. AUSTIN TRAVEL TIP: The Arboretum Mall at the intersection of Hwy. 183 and Great Hills Trail has more than 40 shops and restaurants. A beautiful park-like setting, convenient to most Arboretum area hotels. It's a great place to stroll outdoors in the evening. Shop, eat and enjoy the outdoor setting. LOCATED: Approximately 18 miles NW of the airport in the Arboretum area. The area surrounding the intersections of highways 360, 183 and Mo-Pac. About ten miles to downtown. FROM THE AIRPORT Take 71West to Hwy. 183 North, then exit Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway). Turn Right onto Loop 360, then at second stop light turn right onto Stonelake Blvd. Hotel is located on your left. HOTEL FACILITIES: - 4 floors; 125 suites
