Genuine chitlin' circuit blues club, the Victory Grill is currently undergoing a dramatic restoration that will return her to past glory.

Opened in 1949 the Victory Grill is Austin's oldest blues club. One of the few remaining clubs of its kind still open. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and archived by the Texas Historic Commission.

Legends like Ike and Tina Turner, BB King, Bobby Blue Band, Louie Armstrong, Big Joe Williams and here's the biggie for me, Billie Holiday, have all graced this Austin venues legendary chitlin' ciruit stage.

Current plans have the Victory Grill returning to its past glorious cafe and club status.

I can't wait.
