Nice small limited service, reasonably priced hotel. Sixty-five all suite guest rooms. The rooms are decent, clean and comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, high-speed Internet access, cable TV.

The hotel offers free parking, a free breakfast, exercise room, outdoor pool and hot tub. Service here is adequate, but not spectacular. My only real complaint is the location.

Comfort Suites is a good 20-30 minutes from downtown in moderate traffic. You can double that for peak time heavy traffic. But if you need to be near one of the business in northwest Austin you'll be a couple miles from most.

This is a kid friendly hotel. It's also quiet. A unique combination, kids and quiet…

Hooter's restaurant is across the street which explains why my husbands old army buddies prefer this hotel when they visit.

An honest Austin hotel. Unpretentious, knows what it is and does it surprisingly well for the money they charge. I've seen this hotel go for less than $100 per night in the off season.

This is a good cheap Austin travel option, if you don't plan on driving downtown during rush hour.

AUSTIN TRAVEL TIP: Lakeline Mall with its many restaruants is less than five minutes west of the hotel on Hwy. 183.

LOCATED: Comfort Suites North is approximately 23 miles NW of the airport in the Arboretum area (the area surrounding the intersections of highways 360, 183 and Mo-Pac). About 14 miles to downtown.

FROM THE AIRPORT: Go left (west) on Hwy. 71. Exit on Hwy. 183 North. Go about 20 miles, hotel is on the right. The hotel is a half mile south of FM 620. Between Hymeadow and Anderson Mill Road.
