When you make a reservation at a Marriott hotel, you expect their trademark quality, convenience and service. I found this hotel fell short in every category. Don't get me wrong, this hotel is anything but a low level budget hotel. There is nothing bad or exceptionally good about this location. It certainly is not what I have come to expect from a Courtyard or even Fairfield Inn. Because it's not up to Marriott standards, I resent paying their traditional upscale rate for a room here. They have clean rooms, indoor pool, free parking and charge you for breakfast. Compared to other Austin hotels in this price range you can do better or worse. And that's the sad part. Austin travel trips could become very mediocre when staying here. Another room in a box, underwhelming and overpriced. Traffic noise is free. But the breakfast isn't.

LOCATED: Courtyard Austin NW is approximately 18 miles NW of the airport in the NW/Arboretum area (the area surrounding the intersections of highways 360, 183 and Mo-Pac). FROM THE AIRPORT: Turn left (west) on Hwy. 71 to Hwy. 183 North exit. Go north on Hwy. 183 to Hwy. 360 (Capital of Texas Hwy.) exit. After exiting, take a right on Capital of Texas Hwy. Then turn right on Stonelake Blvd. Courtyard is on the left approximately 1/2 mile. HOTEL FACILITIES: - 4 floors, 102 rooms
