I have been disappointed with this type of hotel so often I'm gun-shy about recommending them to Austin travelers. Some are just worn out and tired. Others are converted condos. Service is poor to nonexistent. This extended stay hotel is not a disappointment if you know what to expect. It's a moderately priced, suite hotel. Conveniently located minutes from the airport with a straight shot to downtown via Riverside Drive. Every room is a suite and comes equipped with microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, cable TV, movies and dataports. Outdoor pool, basketball, tennis court, hike and bike trail, plus fitness and business center.
Breakfast area, where hot breakfast buffet is served. Free airport shuttle, complimentary hot breakfast. The Manager's Reception offers beer, wine, soft drinks and light dinner Monday through Thursday. A competitive hotel, offering the essentials for less than $120 per night. An excellent value.

Small but refreshing pool. LOCATION: Hawthorn Suites Austin Airport is about a mile from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. It's a five minute drive. From downtown Austin the hotel is approximately five miles. Turn left out of the Airport onto Hwy. 71. Go west to the Riverside Dr. intersection. Turn left onto Riverside, it's on the left.
