Eight hundred rooms. Self parking cost $15 per day, valet parking is $25 per day. High speed in-room Internet is an additional $10.95. Mini bar, 27 inch TV and multiple cable premium channels, video games and pay per movies.

Austin travelers will find the rooms as elegantly comfortable as any downtown hotel. With the exception of the palatial Four Seasons.

Rooms are 350 square feet. A modern, comfortable size, well appointed and spotless.

Executive level room.

There are also executive rooms with additional amenities and 25 suites that offer five different styles from 630 square feet to an enormous and unapologetically opulant 1,600 square foot presidential suite.

Hilton did a great job with this hotel. Connected to the Austin Convention Center, the hotel is perfect for conventioners.

It's located a short walk to great restaurants, barbecue joints, music venues.

Visit the roof top pool and grab a Pina Colada at the Tikki Bar.

I've attended meetings and seminars here and stayed a weekend during a National Association of Musical Merchants Trade Show.

The only drawback to the Hilton Austin is its size. You will wait 10-15 minutes for valet parking to produce your car.

A lot of people, a lot of delay, full restaurants, inconsistent speed of room service. Plus the Hilton charges for some services that are free at competitive downtown Austin hotels.

That said, I found the hustle, bustle and constant activity at the Hilton fun.

Service is the difference. The staff at this hotel really tries. Sometimes there is so much going on it appears to be chaos. In reality, the hotel staff operates with a military precision that is unusual for many laid back Austin hotels.

I like this hotel. It's big and fun. It's in the middle of everything and you can spend time at the Convention Center or just discovering the hotel. Gift shop, health club and spa, manicures, restaurants, coffee shop.

Hilton Austin is a business hotel. But it sure is fun doing business here.

Not a location for pets and the hotel is so large you can't let the kids out of your sight.

This super efficient and comfortable downtown Austin hotel delivers. And believe me, you will pay for it.

• Liberty Tavern, all-day restaurant featuring the Hilton’s Eat Right Menu and the Hilton Breakfast, which allows guests to design their breakfast according to nutritional needs or wants
