I was surprised at the execution of service, amenities and quality guest rooms at this price.

The lobby is Texas Hill Country lodge. Real comfy, friendly and informal. And that's the Homewood Suites special appeal. Words like restful, unhurried and casual come to mind.

Every room comes with a fully equipped kitchen and cable TV. The suite is simple. Like the hotel itself the room is unpretentious. Not plush, but congenial.

Great pool, free parking, workout room, pets, and a better than average breakfast.

Every suite has enough room to work,
study or entertain. One king or two double beds.

Homewood Suites offers great rate packages. The place is quiet and has a southwestern motif. Perfect for extended stay travel on a budget.

My only hesitation is the location. Too many people stay in this part of town expecting to be closer to downtown. Your 11 miles away on some of the busiest roads in town. If you don't have to travel during rush hour, it's not bad. If your business is in this area, then location is perfect.

A good Austin hotel. Close to malls and restaurants. Great discount rates can be had at this hotel for an extended stay.

If green landscaping, simple and easy is your thing, this works well.

The lobby is as comfy, friendly and informal as it looks.

Bring your suit, you're gonna'
want to cool off in the pool.

AUSTIN TRAVEL TIPS: Check out the outdoor basketball court, it's not regulation, but it's a great place to shoot some hoops and is well-maintained. They put a net behind the backboard so you don't spend all your time chasing balls! Ask the front desk for a basketball.

LOCATED: Approximately 22 miles NW of the airport in the NW/Arboretum area (the area surrounding the intersections of highways 360, 183 and Mo-Pac).

FROM THE AIRPORT: Turn left on Hwy. 71 (west) for two miles. Take 183 North exit. Go north on 183 for approximately 16 miles. Exit Braker lane, and turn right on Braker. Hotel is approximately 1 mile down on the left. Homewood Suites is directly behind Hampton Inn.

ROOMS: Every suite is spacious, enough space for work, study or entertaining. Plus a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave, a remote-controlled TV, two phones with dataports, voice-mail and an iron and ironing board. One king or two double beds.

MEETNG/CONVENTION SPACE: One meeting room, the Longhorn is 540 sq. ft. measuring 20' x 27' and can accommodate 12-50 people depending on room set-up.
