RENAISSANCE AUSTIN HOTEL
Is the Crown Jewel of
Arboretum Area Hotels

Renaissance Austin Hotel, front view of exterior

A genuine luxury hotel that is moderate
in cost compared to downtown luxury hotels.

Renaissance Austin Hotel
9721 Arboretum Blvd.
Austin, TX 78759

If the Renaissance Austin Hotel was located on Lady Bird Lake downtown, it would be a world class luxury hotel. A destination.

Instead, you walk out the front door, take a hard right and you're at the very upscale Arboretum Shopping Mall. Nice but no cigar. Yet there is plenty of landscaped greenery surrounding.

Ten floors, 463 rooms, 29 suites. The luxury King Suite looks awesome. Can't wait for the opportunity to stay in it.

Renaissance Austin Hotel, guest room

Regular guest rooms are downright homey.
Not plush or even luxurious, but comfortable on steroids.

Your room has most everything you would need. High-end cable, Internet/web TV, coffee, wet bar.

Renaissance has a full service business center, health club and an unbelievable pool are that includes an indoor and heated outdoor pool.

The property boasts Austinbytes (a deli) and Banderas-A Texas Bistrot restaurant. Your on your own here. I eat at close by Joes Crab Shack, or drive about five miles south on 360 and eat at the Salt Lick 360.

Be sure to check on the discounts offered for AAA, seniors, military and more.

I saved the best for last. The atrium in this hotel is gargantuan. Intimidating. Marble floor as far as you can see. Modern, yet spot on corporate Hill Country elegance and pretentious opulence all intentionally wrapped in a delicious Southwestern spicy gumbo. WOW!

Thanksgiving dinner at the Renaissance Austin Hotel is a feast defying description. If you have the good luck to experience this flawless execution of a culinary orgy, I envy you.

The Renaissance is a large, fun, luxury hotel. The immediate area within walking distance offers good food, shopping and movie theatre.

I can't imagine anyone complaining about the hotel or service at this price. You could pay a lot more for a lot less at many Austin hotels.

Honest value, good service and a pretty trendy area to hang out in. Best hotel at Arboretum hands down, no contest.
