Riverside Golf Course is the second home to legendary Austin Country Club. Designed in 1950 by Perry Maxwell. Old school course is close to downtown and is a very popular Austin golf destination.

Riverside is 100% old school Texas golf course. The huge oak and pecan trees line the fairways and provide most of the challenges. There are water hazards and about 40 sand bunkers. But like many of the old courses they are more for visual appeal than actual hazards.

I won't say this course is easy, but it ranks low on the difficulty scale and the variety is not great either.

Well maintained, moderate rolling greens that don't play fast. 18 holes, par 71, 6,562 yards. If you're the type of golfer that plays to relax, enjoy the outdoors and good company, then Riverside Golf Course has a lot to offer.

Inexpensive and fun. The trees and layout are awesome. Riverside gives you a great golf bang for the buck.

Bring your best punch shot and you will be rewarded with a great low score.

LOCATED: About 4 – 5 miles south and east of downtown Austin. Take Riverside Dr. east. Turn left (north) on Grove Blvd. Follow the signs.

FEES: $14 - 39 including cart. Reduced rates for walking, afternoon, Twilight, Super Twilight, Students and Senior.

GOLF COURSE & FACILITIES: 18 holes – 6,562 yards – par 71. Practice facility. Fully stocked Pro Shop (located behind the Austin Community College Campus).

RESTAURANT/BAR: Snack bar and grill is open seven days a week. Fully stocked bar.
