HOURS: Sunday – Thursday, 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Friday – Saturday, 10:30 am to 10:30 pm.

I can only assume that Rudy's BBQ claim to be the worst barbecue in Texas occurred after the board of directors ate at one of their gas station stores.

Unfortunately I find Rudy's claim to be spot on 100% correct. Rudy's, Inc. has given fair warning.

Smoked meat includes brisket, totally bland. Pork loin is OK, but on the dry side. Pork spare ribs are large.

In fairness to the corporate giant, they have many fans. From my standpoint eating here is a matter of not expecting real Texas barbecue. Expect corporate conveyor belt barbecue.

I'm always asked about the sauce. Try it and tell me what you think. They sell enough of it.

Look, don't jump on me for agreeing with the proud company motto.

MENU: Available by weight or as a sandwich; brisket, turkey breast, pork loin, chopped beef, spare ribs, baby back ribs, chicken, sausage (regular or jalapeño), Sides; potato salad, cole slaw, pinto beans, new potatoes, green bean salad, corn on the cob, cream corn, jumbo smoked potato.
