Stubb's has two stages. The indoor club stage and outdoor Waller Creek Amphitheater. Johnny Cash, White Stripes, Loretta Lynn, Los Lobos, the Strokes. Everything from Emmy Lou Harris to Mogwai. And that's just the outdoor Waller Creek Amphitheater.

In the club you get front line up and comers. Great sound quality on both stages.

This place can get real crowded, real fast. If you want a decent standing spot in front of the stage arrive early. You can find a spot to sit, but it's at the back of the lot.

Also worth mentioning is the Sunday Gospel Brunch. It's perfect. A killer buffet with grits, fried catfish (delicious), migas, brisket, spuds and more. Very good, two seatings at 11 am and 1 pm. You should make reservations to avoid major disappointment.

Stubb's presents the best gospel music that Austin live music has to offer. In short – it rocks!

I believe gentle giant world class BBQ pit master, CB Stubblefield, would be proud his name is remembered in such an important and well run bar / club / restaurant / outdoor amphitheater. Highly recommended.

AUSTIN TRAVEL TIP: Bands that play at Stubb's usually eat there. A real good place to see celebrities and musicians. The decor is old time Austin which is worth the price of admission.
