Teravista Golf Club has improved my game. From rank beginner to rank amateur. Playing here has improved my skills dramatically.

I haven't found better practice facilities anywhere. A 320 yard grass driving range. Chipping green and putting green.

Service here is worth mentioning. They take care of you and make you feel important. You even receive an accessory kit before you tee off. Nice touch.

Teravista Golf Club is located about 25 minutes north of downtown Austin off IH-35 in Round Rock. It's off the beaten path but worth the trip. The absolute, ultimate experience of all Austin golf courses.

Certainly not the most beautiful. But beautiful by any standard. Panoramic views in all directions.

One of the many special features is a unique beginner tee box that can knock 100 yards off the hole. This course is for beginners as well as the seasoned veteran with a true stroke.

Eighteen hole, par 72, mostly large wide open fairways on rolling terrain. Link style. 7,039 yards, 70 soft sand bunkers for fried eggs plus water on 14 holes.

Are you starting to get the picture yet? Sand, water, open fairways. Now add super fast Tif Eagle greens with slopes and you have a very challenging, but buckets of fun course. I'm not finished.

Hope you have a decent knock down shot because you can add a healthy breeze to your list of challenges and hazards here.

Teravista Golf Club tries to be all things to all golfers and they really do succeed. This is a links style course. Wide open and friendly. You can have a really good score and an even better Austin golf experience here.

AUSTIN TRAVEL TIP: There's a Chicago style sandwich shop in Round Rock offering authentic Vienna Beef Chicago hot dogs. Even better, real Italian beef sandwiches. LOCATED: About 21 miles north of Austin, just east of IH-35 in Round Rock.

From Austin, go north on IH-35, exit Teravista Parkway. Go east 1.5 miles, this dead ends into the Resident Center. Take a left at the Resident Center and you will see the Golf Club on the right hand side.

FEES: $55 – 75. Senior and Twilight rates.

GOLF COURSE & FACILITIES: 18 hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design, 30 mile views, 5 different tees. The Teravista Golf Academy offers several programs. Junior camps. Practice facilities.

Golf Shop opens one hour before the first starting time and closes at sunset.

RESTAURANT/BAR: The "Caldwell Cafe" is open seven days a week. Breakfast and lunch menu.

RENTAL: Rental clubs.

BANQUET/WEDDING/EVENT: The original six generation ranch home the golf course sits on, has been restored and furnished with ranch style furnishings. A one-of-a-kind meeting or wedding location.
