WOLFDANCER GOLF CLUB
Hyatt Lost Pines Resort is an
Arthur Hill Designed Masterpiece

Wolfdancer Golf Club

Located in Cedar Creek just before you get to Bastrop. I've played Wolfdancer Golf Club three times. This golf resort is a revelation. Great facilities.

18 hole, par 72 (yeah, right) 7,205 yard Arthur Hill designed natural plain routing. The course gets awards because it deserves them. A relatively new course should not play this well.

A unique combination of traditional and modern course design. Best of both worlds. You play through three distinct types of terrain. Rolling prairies, wooded ridge line and the Colorado River Valley. American parkland, Scottish seaside and state of the art modern design. Perfect.

Don't let the Hyatt company line -- challenging for all skill levels -- fool you. If the back nine got any more difficult the sheriff wouldn't allow it.

Dogs, broad canopied oak, cedar and pecan trees. Water hazards and enough sand to scare the Sahara. Fifteen bunkers on one hole. Blind shots, elevation changes make this course a real challenge. So much so forecaddies are available to consult on layout, course management and even clean your clubs. If a low score is important use one of the forecaddies.

I didn't use a forecaddy. My partner did and kicked my butt so hard I could taste shoe leather. Ouch!

Wolfdancer Golf Club is my #5 Personal Favorite Austin Golf Course. If not for location and some access issues due to testy traffic, this would rank #3 or #4.

Water on four holes, 70 sand traps, large TifEagle greens, pretty as a mortgage paid in full. More difficult than many reviews say. Hole variety is eclectic and the best of any golf resort I've played. Immaculate condition and a whole lot of fun for the intermediate to skilled player. Five tee boxes give the lay player false hope.

Wolfdancer Golf Club at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort is pricey and worth it. Perfect for weekend golf resort vacation.

Here's the best part – unlike the other major Austin golf resorts, you don't have to be a member or a guest to play here. This is a daily fee course. Expensive, but a real nice treat. I recommend Wolfdancer Golf Club without reservation. Guaranteed good time.

AUSTIN TRAVEL TIP: The luxurious Lost Pines Resort & Spa is located on 405 rugged acres.
